Ballyhaise College is located 8km north of Cavan town. It is situated on an estate of 220 hectares of grass and woodlands. The house is nearly 300 years old and retains many of its historical features. At the rear of the house the buildings form a magnificently restored courtyard.

Students are accommodated in three modern houses, each with 18 single bedrooms.

Ballyhaise College has been involved in agricultural education since 1906 and is renowned for its tradition of providing students with suitable knowledge and skills for the agricultural and forestry sectors in Ireland and abroad.

There are three courses currently on offer to students:

* FETAC Vocational Certificate in Agriculture
* FETAC Vocational Certificate in Forestry
* Advanced Certificate in Agriculture

All courses are practically based with agricultural students gaining experience in the seven farm enterprises
