College Types
This college offers a range of adult education and VTOS courses.
Night Courses
The college is open four nights per week and offers 44 courses in the following general areas:
Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, European Languages, Computers, Sports and Leisure, Arts/Crafts/Hobbies and Personal Development.
There is a high enrolment in these courses from among the local
community but they are also very popular with students from other areas of the City.
VTOS Courses
The VTOS courses offered by the college this session and run in
conjunction with FIT (Fast Track to IT) are:
- Software Quality Assurance Tester and Technical Support
- IT Office Administration and Design
All VTOS qualified persons are eligible to enrol on the Repeat Leaving Certificate and Post Leaving Certificate Programmes.
Community Education Programmes
The Adult Education Organiser for the Sth. East Area of the city is based in the college and provides support for and co-ordinates teacher allocations to Community Education Programmes running in St Andrew’s Resource Centre, Dolebusters, Charlemont St. Community Centre and Verschoyle Court Senior Citizens. Parent Education Programmes running in conjunction with Ringsend, Baggot St, Synge St, HSCL schemes are also supported.
